Our History
The South Shore Art Center has proudly been serving the extracurricular art community since 1997.
Established in Bellmore, NY by Jay & Tricia Lupetin, we have grown to be a most reputable and well-known art studio for kids.
Jay Lupetin is a retired Bellmore Public School Teacher of 37 years. He has both a Bachelor's of Art in Art Educatio

Jay Lupetin is a retired Bellmore Public School Teacher of 37 years. He has both a Bachelor's of Art in Art Education from Hofstra and a Masters in Physical Education from Adelphi University.
He currently sits on the Advisory Committee for the Hofstra Museum of Art.

Our curriculum includes various concepts, techniques, and styles of art. Our young artists are exposed to the lives and insights of famous artists and art movements. Each semester classes focus on different themes. Although the main theme is constant, the final artwork is as different and unique as each students’ talent and personality.

We pride ourselves on realizing and teaching our students to see the world differently, and we afford each student the ways and means to achieve their vision. Our serious art graduates have gone on to attend prestigious universities such as SVA, Pratt Institute, and the Fashion Institute of Technology.
